Sapphire (aka Dapple Beauty)

Sapphire is a beautiful dapple gray mare around 7 years old. Although we think she had been ridden in the distant past, she will need to build trust to allow us to catch her easily as well as refresh training. We believe she had been put out to pasture and not handled in a very long time. She came to us with a halter and hard-tied lead line on that had been there a very long time, starting to make a permanent mark on her nose. Sapphire also had long overdue hooves that will get trimmed asap. This was probably used to catch her as she was unhandled. Her future is about to change for the good as we let her settle in and get to know us. We feel certain with gentle handling and care, she will blossom to be a great ridding horse!
